I am a native North Carolinian and a graduate of Duke University and the Seton Hall University School of Law. I worked for the NC Legislature in Raleigh prior to joining the Foreign Service. I served overseas in Dubai and Bombay where I met my husband Firoze. We moved to Washington in 1997 and I began working at WC & AN Miller Realtors in 2000.

Firoze is a financial manager at Lockheed Martin in Lanham, MD.

My husband and I live in Brookland (NE DC) with our three cats Rennie, Karama and Chipper. We are avid fans of Duke basketball, the Atlanta Braves (Chipper is named for the Braves' third baseman) and the Redskins. We also love theater and opera and we have season tickets to several local companies. We really enjoy traveling. Our last overseas trip was to Sicily in August 2009. I often substitute in a couple of bridge groups and I play regularly in the duplicate game at the IMF. I am the DC Area Chair for the United Nations Asssociation of the National Capitol Area. We attend Christ Church Georgetown where I chair the Missions Committee.
